Buildings Energy Efficiency (BEV) Declaration Project
What is it?
Buildings form the basis of daily life and working environments, while approximately 40% of global energy consumption takes place indoors. In this context, the Buildings Energy Efficiency (BEV) Declaration was opened for signature in 2013 to mobilise the business world in the field of energy efficiency.
Growing each year with the participation of new companies, the BEV Declaration aimed to raise awareness of energy efficiency in the business community and to encourage the dissemination of best practices.
Our Contributions to the Business World
Monitoring and Evaluation:
The annual energy data of companies that signed the BEV Declaration were monitored and analysed in detail.
Tailored Feedback:
Each signatory company received customised feedback to help identify opportunities for improvement in energy efficiency.
Comparative Performance Analysis:
Companies were able to benchmark themselves against others in the sector, thereby enhancing their opportunities to increase energy savings.
Sharing Best Practices:
Success stories were published and shared with the business community, enabling the dissemination of best practices.
Within this scope, guiding publications such as the BEV Declaration and the BEV Declaration Implementation Guide were prepared to support companies. In addition, the list of institutions that signed the BEV Declaration and submitted reports was regularly updated.
